SHEIKH ABDULLAH AL SALEM CULTURAL CENTRE IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST CULTURAL COMPLEXES HOUSING A TOTAL OF 22 GALLERIES WITH OVER 1,100 EXHIBITS. THE COMPLEX OFFERS A NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM, A FINE ARTS CENTRE, ARABIC ISLAMIC SCIENCE MUSEUM, SPACE MUSEUM, AND THEATRE.
THE DICKSON HOUSE DATES BACK TO THE 19TH CENTURY, AND TODAY, IT REPRESENTS THE FINEST COLLECTION AND LEGENDS OF HISTORY. DESIGNED WITH AN ELEGANT LOOK, THE HOUSE TURNED MUSEUM STANDS AS A WHITE BUILDING THAT BELONGED TO BEIT DICKSON. EVEN ANGLO-ITALIAN EXPLORER FREYA STARK HAD SPENT MOST OF HER TIME IN THE HOUSE, DURING THE MARCH OF 1937.
Al Shaheed park, located on the periphery of Kuwait city, narrates the story of a land, its history and culture. The park consists of 200,000 m2 of greenery, featuring beautiful botanical gardens, two museums - Thekra & the Habitat, a visitor center, a lake, walkways and jogging tracks, making it the largest urban park in Kuwait.
